  1. I can choose a book at my level and read by myself and/or to a partner for 10-15 minutes. We use Raz Kids and guided readers (Free Read Center, iPad Center)
  2. I can write 1 or more sentences about something I care about. (writing/journal center)
    • students choose from a journal of their choice (vacation, family, friends, animals, sports/activities, fiction stories)
    • students can also choose to work on writing sight words/CVC words they know and don't know to help identify what they still need to work on
