Trimester 2: Breakdown of Math Topics on Report Card

Here is what is assessed (through various means) regarding number & operations/algebra, data/probability, geometry/measurement, and basic facts. This will help in better understanding the Trimester 2 Math section of the report cards.

Math (Trimester 2)

Numbers & Operations/Algebra

  • Identifies and Continues a Pattern
  • Find Partners of Numbers Through 10
  • Shows Numbers Using 5 Groups
  • Use equal and not equal signs
  • Compare simple math drawings to see which group has more or fewer
  • Solve Addition Equations
  • Show teen numbers as ten and a 1-digit number
Data/Probability

  • Collect data to continue or create a Graph
Geometry/Measurement

  • Draw 1 through 10 objects
  • Identify 2-D and 3-D shapes (squares, circles, triangles, rectangles, trapezoids, hexagons, cubes, cones, cylinders and spheres)
  • Compare Objects according to length, size, weight, and position
Basic Facts

  • Rote Counting (to 100)
  • Count Backwards from 20
  • Writes Numbers 0-21 (Legibly and independently writes 0-21, up to 3 reversals, no skips)
  • Identifies Numbers 1-31


P: 95% and above, D: 80-94%, B: Below 80%
