Hello and Happy Friday! Stay warm this weekend!! Seems like a great weekend to hunker down together and enjoy a movie and some quality family time together.
We've been working so hard in Kindergarten. We are reading and writing like crazy, creating our own addition equations, and working hard at mastering teen numbers. We've also started doing our very own research projects and created our own surveys. We are working on graphing out the data we collected from our surveys. These students are amazing!!
Here's a glance at what next week will look like.
Reading: Lesson 11
- Phonological Awareness: final sounds in words
- Letter of the week: Gg and Ff
- High-Frequency Word: here, this
- Working on drawing conclusions and rereading when something is confusing
- Robust Vocabulary: anxious, huddle, moans, productive, idle, scrumptious
- Making posters
- Working on developing and organizing our ideas in writing
- Reading Mrs. Wishy-Washy's Farm by Joy Cowley and The Little Red Hen and the Ear of Wheat by Mary Finch
- Centers (Tuesday and Wednesday)
Reading Homework (Due back Friday, December 13)
We always send the lesson's homework out after we have taught it for a week, so you will get lesson 11 after next week and so on. Since we taught lesson 10 this week, that's what is coming home. :)
