Now, here's the breakdown of our first full week of 2012.
Reading:
- Letters: Bb and Kk
- high-frequency word: for, me
- working on recognizing and pulling out details and generating questions
- Robust Vocabulary: fading, perhaps, prefer, warn, whirl, property
- Reading What Will the Weather Be Like Today? By Paul Rogers and When a Storm Comes Up By Allan Fowler
- Will be using iPads to find important details in the stories and determine the beginning, middle, and ending.
- We started Chapter 6, which is all about the numbers 10-30
- We're working hard on recognizing the numbers, writing the numbers, and using ten frames to make a variety of numbers
- We'll also be using the iTouches to practice and reinforce all of these skills
Social Studies:

- Continuing group discussions regarding being good listeners, using different types of voices (and knowing when to use those voices), and what it means to be an active and helpful member in a community.
