Here's the breakdown of what we have going on this week.
Reading:
- Letters: Review Bb and Kk
- Word Building: -in and -ig words
- High-frequency word: where, do
- Reviewing initial and final sounds
- Still working on recognizing and pulling out details and generating questions
- Working on summarizing stories
- Robust Vocabulary: fading, perhaps, prefer, warn, whirl, property
- Reading Winter Lullaby By Barbara Seuling
- Continuing with chapter 6, which is all about the numbers 10-30
- We're working hard on recognizing the numbers, writing the numbers, and using ten frames to make a variety of numbers
- Collecting data and graphing it
- Place value (how many tens? how many ones?)
- 1 ten and 4 ones is 14 ---> 10 + 4 = 14. They're doing this!
