There will be no new homework until after winter break, so feel free to continue working on the one you have or pull out a pile of good books and read, read, read! Have your child search for words they know. They can find them and even begin to put more complicated sentences together! They've come so far in a few months!
So, here's what's going on in K-1
Reading:
- Reviewing: Gg and Ff
- high-frequency word: what (the only new thing we're working on)
- Robust Vocabulary: anxious, huddle, moans, productive, idle, scrumptious
- Using ipads to collaborate and share our work with each other
- Using itouches to practice and review skills (word recognition, rhyming, etc...)
Math:
- Reviewing chapter 5 (symmetry, equal parts, 3D figures, shapes)
Lots of great projects will be coming home to deck out your home with! Many holiday projects that portray holidays from all around the world!
This class has done amazing things and will only continue to grow and develop into passionate readers, writers, and learners. I'm so proud of how hard they have worked and what they've accomplished. I'm honored to work with all of your kindergarteners! Thank you all for working so hard and doing your part at home to ensure the success of our students. I couldn't do this without you.
Here's wishing a wonderful holiday season to all!
Mr. T
