September 19-23

Hello!

We are ready to delve into our second full week.  Everyone is making friends, getting the routines down, and growing quickly as learners.  It makes my job so rewarding when I see 20 bright students walk into the class who are all excited to see what their day in school has in store.

Here's a brief breakdown of what we'll cover this week.

Math: Chapter 2
  •  We're starting our pattern unit and continuing to learn about graphs!
  • We will know about all sorts of patterns before long!
  • Many of our lessons will be on the Smart Board!
Reading: Lesson 2
  • The letters Rr (handwriting and recognition)
  • High frequency word "a" and reviewing "I"
  • Robust Vocabulary: differ, stalking mellow, automatic, perfectly, resemblance (wow!)
  • Reading the story "You and Me."
We also have these things going on this week:
  •  Wednesday: Deardorff Apple Orchard (1-3:15pm)
  • Everyone should have gotten their "week 1" homework sheet in their white Friday folders.  Those can come back any time this week.
Go Team Kindergarten!
