The first two days of kindergarten were fantastic days. Every student came to school ready to learn and work hard-so wonderful to see the passion and excitement they already have for school!
Here's a brief breakdown of what we'll cover on our first full week!
Math: Chapter 1
- We will be working with such terms as
- Above/Below
- Over/Under
- In/Out
- Right/Left
- Top/Middle/Bottom
- We will also be looking at basic graphs and working on grouping objects according to color, size, and type.
- The letters Mm and Ss (handwriting and recognition)
- High frequency word "I"
- Robust Vocabulary: complained, talent, encourage
- We will also start delving into our smartboard and begin learning the basics!
- We're going to attempt writing a sentence on Friday-wish us luck!
- Welcome Back Character Assembly on Monday: 2:00
- Fluency Testing on Wednesday: 12:30-3:15
- Wolf Ridge Fundraiser Assembly on Friday: 2-2:30
